Todd Basnight

Todd Basnight serves as an Analyst in the Equity Research group at Putnam covering the transportation, housing, and engineering and construction industries. In this role, he is responsible for conducting fundamental analysis of these companies and making buy/sell recommendations. Mr. Basnight joined Putnam in 2012. Prior to joining Putnam, he was an Associate Research Consultant at Cambridge Associates, LLC. Mr. Basnight holds a B.A. from Colby College and an MBA from Columbia Business School.


William Bower

William Bower serves as Portfolio Manager at Fidelity Investments. He has been with Fidelity since 2001 and currently manages several diversified international funds as well as the International Equity Fund. Mr. Bower holds a B.A. from Western Michigan University and an MBA from the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business. 


Matthew Gershuny

Matthew Gershuny serves as lead Portfolio Manager and Senior Research Analyst of the Parnassus Mid-Cap Fund. He joined Parnassus Investments in 2006 as a Senior Research Analyst and was previously a research intern. Prior to joining Parnassus, Mr. Gershuny served as Vice President of Equity Research at Cowen and Company; formerly SG Cowen Securities Corporation. Prior to that, he held various equity research and asset management positions at UBS Securities. Mr. Gershuny holds a Bachelor's in Philosophy from Cornell University and an MBA from the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business.


Steven D. Krichbaum, CFA

Steven Krichbaum serves as a Vice President of T. Rowe Price Group, Inc., and T. Rowe Price Associates, Inc.  He is a Research Analyst in the U.S. Equity Division following utility and midstream companies as well as rating agencies, financial guarantors, and mortgage insurance companies. Mr. Krichbaum is a Vice President and Investment Advisory Committee member of the New Era Fund, Small-Cap Stock Fund and Small-Cap Value Fund. He joined T. Rowe Price in 2007 after serving as a summer intern with the firm in 2006, covering the financial guaranty industry. Prior to this, Mr. Krichbaum was an Economist and Statistical Analyst for the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment. He earned a B.A. in Economics, cum laude, from Pomona College and an MBA from the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business. Mr. Krichbaum is also a CFA charterholder.


Tory Moore

Tory Moore is Triga Capital’s Founder and Principal. Prior to founding Triga Capital, Mr. Moore served as Portfolio Manager and Research Analyst at Fiduciary Asset Management. Prior experience also includes serving as a Research Analyst at Greycourt & Company and Telemus Capital Partners. Mr. Moore has a B.S. in Economics from Trinity College and an MBA in Leadership and Marketing  from the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business, and is CFA charter pending. 


Michael Sesser, CFA

Michael Sesser serves as a Portfolio Manager for Deutsche Asset Management's DWS Small Cap Core Fund and also an Equity Analyst covering health care stocks for five other DWS mutual funds. He has been at Deutsche Bank since 2009 and was promoted to Portfolio Manager this past spring. Mr. Sesser is the number one ranked analyst in the organization based on trailing 3-year stock recommendation performance. He has a B.A. in Ethics, Politics & Economics, with Distinction, from Yale University and an MBA from the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business. Mr. Sesser is also a CFA charterholder.


Conrad Smith

Conrad Smith serves as Senior Portfolio Manager at Thrivent Asset Management in Minneapolis, MN and is responsible for approximately $3 billion in investments in Leveraged Loans and High Yield Bonds. Mr. Smith has more than 24 years of investment experience in commercial lending, securities analysis, industry analysis, credit research management and portfolio management. Over the course of his career, Mr. Smith has analyzed loans, bonds, private placements, converts and equities at commercial banks, an asset management firm and a hedge fund. He holds an A.B. in Government from Dartmouth College and an M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business. Mr. Smith is also a CFA charterholder.


Justin Speer

Justin Speer serves as a Portfolio Manager for the Invesco Small Cap Discovery Fund.  Prior to joing Invesco in 2010, Mr. Speer served as an Analyst for the Van Kampen Small Cap Growth Fund.  Prior to joining Van Kampen Investments, he served as an Equity Research Analyst with Credit Suisse focusing on the enterprise software, electric utilities and homebuilding / building product industries. Mr. Speer holds a B.S. Texas Christian University with an emphasis on finance and accounting.

Chris Warner, CFA

Chris Warner serves as a Co-Portfolio Manager for the Fundamental SMID Cap and Mid Cap Growth portfolios at Wells Capital Management. Prior to joining the firm in 2007, Mr. Warner worked as an Equity Research Associate following the enterprise software, systems management and data storage industries for Citigroup in San Francisco. He holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an MBA in Finance and Corporate Strategy from the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business. Mr. Warner is also a CFA charterholder. 









Ken Corba, CFA
Keynote Speaker​ and Judge

Kenneth Corba is currently the Chairman and Managing Partner for Corba Asset Management. He has ownership interests in publicly held common stocks, real estate and private operating businesses. He is also the Founder and Managing Partner of CM Legacy Advisors, LLC which provides investment advice to a long/short equity hedge fund called CM Legacy Partners, LLC.


Mr. Corba was formerly the CEO and Chief Investment Officer for PIMCO Equity Advisors in New York from 1999 through 2004. He managed a $2 billion mutual fund and supervised $14 billion in equity assets.


Prior to joining PIMCO, Mr. Corba spent four years as the Chief Investment Officer of Eagle Asset Management, a subsidiary of Raymond James. Mr. Corba started his career in 1984 after earning an MBA from the University of Michigan by joining Stein Roe and Farnham in Chicago. He served as Portfolio Manager and eventually became the head of Stein Roe's Capital Management Group. Mr. Corba earned his CFA designation in 1987.   


He has been a frequent guest on CNBC and recently wrote the forward to a book published in September called The Millionaire Down the Road. Ken currently lives in Greenwich, Connecticut.
